Most recently, Mr Johnstone was responsible for Bosch Rexroth’s largest UK manufacturing site located in Glenrothes, in Fife, Scotland.

The site manufactures hydraulic motors for vehicles such as fork lift trucks, mini excavators, road rollers and other mobile plant equipment, primarily for the export market.

Mr Johnstone said: “I am delighted to have been appointed and I look forward to working with the dedicated team who service our UK customer base.”

“Our focus is to give our customers the confidence in Bosch Rexroth, its products, services and new technologies, acting as a partner that genuinely understands the issues affecting our customer’s sectors and providing the highest quality technical and application expertise.”

In the future, Mr Johnstone said that the UK’s manufacturing sector will be a key focus for the company.

“We continue to generate a lot of interest in our factory automation solutions which are enabling UK companies to compete in global markets by driving cost out of their manufacturing processes,” he added.
