Brakes put on lean course at JLR

The Manufacturing Institute is calling for delegates to attend the final two week Lean Learning Academy, being held at the Jaguar Land Rover plant in Halewood, Merseyside in November.

With production of the new Range Rover Evoque now being stepped up, the plant will no longer be able to be used for practical learning purposes, thus bringing an end to the workshops at the site.

The final two-week Academy at Halewood commences on 22nd November.

Gareth Howard from S&B UK Ltd is a previous delegate. “I enjoyed the course and came back with some good ideas which have already been implemented at work, particularly on TPM and ideas how to improve our SOP’S,” he said. “The JLR staff I met went above their duty on occasions, answered all queries I had, and even took me on tours at lunchtime – I think they do an excellent job”.
