Birmingham-based Brandauer will receive up to £6 million in lending from HSBC plus a financial reward of up to £120,000 from HSBC following recognition in its Global Connections initiative.

Brandauer is one of six regional finalists to be selected by HSBC under a scheme which celebrates the success of the UK’s most innovative companies.

The regional winners of the Global Connections initiative were announced at an awards dinner at Birmingham’s National Motorcycle Museum last night following their return from an international exchange visit to Dubai.

Over 1,500 companies in the UK entered the Global Connections initiative, 400 of which were based in the Midlands.

Brandauer is a world-class manufacturer of precision stamped components to exacting requirements, exporting 75% of what it manufactures to China, India, USA and the Middle East. The company celebrated its 150 year anniversary in 2012.

Rowan Crozier, sales and marketing director at Brandauer commented on his company’s success: “We’re constantly punching above our weight and there were some real heavyweights around us last night, all of them worthy contestants,” he said.
