AkzoNobel's UK Decorative Paints business has been certified one of Britain’s Top Employers 2013 by the CRF Institute, in association with The Guardian newspaper.
AkzoNobel is the world’s largest paints and coatings company, and a major producer of speciality chemicals. The Decorative Paints division is the largest business within AkzoNobel in the UK, employing over 1,800 people and home to multiple iconic brands including Dulux, Polycell and Cuprinol.
Alongside a select number of companies such as John Lewis Partnership, Bentley Motors and PepsiCo UK & Ireland, AkzoNobel has been independently certified by research company the CRF Institute as being among the best employers in the UK, recognising that it takes excellent care of its employees and provides exceptional working conditions.
Top Employers Certification is awarded only to organisations that meet the highest standard in human resources. The CRF Institute has said that their research, which assesses all critical areas of HR management, showed that AkzoNobel has outstanding employee offerings.
Commenting on the news, AkzoNobel’s Northern Europe Regional HR Director Philippa Kramer said: “We are thrilled to have been given this accolade and to have been recognised for our investment in our employees. Our business is all about inspiration and part of that is our goal to be a Top Employer providing room for each of our people to grow, develop and engage in one direction. This is therefore a great accolade for us, and one which I hope builds ‘Pride & Passion’ across the business.”
