Rolls-Royce has achieved a 13 per cent increase in profits thanks to a surge in demand for jet engines.
Its gas turbines for ships and for the power generation market have also proved popular.
“Growing global markets give us confidence that in 2008 the business will continue to deliver profitable growth and positive cash flow,” the company explained in a statement.
