Cadbury Schweppes has confirmed the sale of Monkhill – its popcorn and sugar confectionery business – to Tangerine Confectionery Ltd, for £58 million in cash.
The sale will form the final stage of Cadbury’s 2005 plan to dispose of its subsidiary brands and operations – a programme that will have raised over £270 million for the company.
The Monkhill business is expected to have achieved £76 million in revenue for 2007.
