After just 14 months of becoming a signatory of the Supply Chain 21 (SC21) award, cable assembly and integrated electronics products manufacturer CHH CoNeX has been awarded a Silver award.
As well as specialising in cables and electronics, CHH CoNeX also provides others with logistics and supply chain solutions. The SC21 Silver award has only been won by five other companies since it was first introduced at Farnborough Air Show in 2006.
The award is presented every year, recognising companies that demonstrate excellent levels of improvement in performance across specific areas such as manufacturing excellence and relationship management.
Following the announcement of its growth strategy in 2010, the company is able to boast of 98.56% on time in full delivery and 99.93% right first time quality – something the company is very proud of.
Tim Hughes, managing director at CHH CoNeX said of the award: “By integrating the SC21 programme into our overall business strategy, we now have a clear path to our competitive advantage and are in a strong position to fully realise our mission of becoming a true extension of our customers’ business.”
“SC21 is now a way of life and drives us to continuously improve what we do while reinforcing our culture of innovation and excellence,” he added.
When asked what they thought about CHH CoNeX winning the Silver award, the vast majority of people agreed that it was well deserved, after such intensive efforts to improve the running of operations over the past year.
Phil Curnock, SC21 programme manager at A|D|S commented: “I am delighted that CHH CoNeX has gained an SC21 Silver award and is clearly demonstrating the robustness of its SC21 framework deployment, how it is benefiting the business and embedding sustainable improvement to the business and its customers.”
