The West Midlands faction of the Manufacturing Advisory Service (MAS) has signed a ‘Memorandum of Understanding’ with that of Business Link so that the two can work together to increase support for manufacturers in the area.
MAS says the agreement will enable more advisers ‘on the ground’, greater access to specialist consultants and a series of joint events across the region.
“We are both members of the West Midlands Taskforce set up by Advantage West Midlands and have been working together for some time, so it was a logical decision to sign a ‘Memorandum of Understanding’ that focused on developing our partnership even further,” said MAS-WM’s Iain Robertson.
“Firms in this sector need to ensure they tap into as much support as possible and this needs to be both specialist manufacturing advice and more general business assistance that Business Link can help with.”
The first joint event the two support agencies are to hold is an interactive workshop titled ‘Beat the Odds and Secure Finance’. It will be held at the Metalforming Centre in West Bromwich on March 27th.
Tickets for the event are free but are of limited supply. They are available by calling 0845 113 1234 or emailing [email protected].
