A Coventry manufacturer of hydraulic solutions has signed a deal to supply a hydraulic ring main system to Jaguar Land Rover’s Gaydon plant.
Savery Hydraulics beat off competition from abroad to win the contract to design and manufacture a brand new system at JLR’s plant in the Warwickshire village.
The new system will provide JLR with core hydraulic power for operations of standard test rigs up to full vehicle road simulations, and continues a relationship between supplier and manufacturer which begun 30 years ago.
JLR, which designed the system to exact specifications aimed at surpassing the previous solution, cited the technical design and manufacturing capabilities of Savery Hydraulics as a key factor in the company winning the contract.
Bob Peacock, managing director of Savery Hydraulics said: “It is excellent news that we are able to continue our long standing relationship with Jaguar Land Rover, a world leader in the premium automotive market and we are delighted that they found our solution the best functional fit for the job.”
