More used car buyers go for green with another EV record, says SMMT Chief

Siemens Gamesa planning Hull wind turbine factory expansion

Siemens Gamesa Renewable Energy has applied to expand its wind turbine factory in Hull.

Planning documents say the move would create 40 more full-time jobs at the plant at Alexandra Dock.

Closure threat for Victorian pipe and valve manufacturer

The future of a pipe and valve manufacturer in Doncaster dating back to the Victorian era is under threat after the firm which owns it launched a consultation into the site’s closure.

Under the proposal, Pegler, which was acquired by Aalberts in 2005, could have its production relocated to other facilities. More via BBC News
