Airbus Helicopters UK opens new HQ, celebrates 50 years
Airbus Helicopters celebrated the grand opening of its new £55m UK headquarters Sept. 13, with a special event at London Oxford Airport marked by a surprise visit from the Prince of Wales.
The new facility spans about 125,000 square feet (11,700 square meters), effectively doubling the space available to the U.K. branch over its former home on the other side of the airfield. More via Vertical

Brompton tackles tougher terrain with first bike on bigger wheels
The UK’s biggest bicycle maker, fold-up specialist Brompton, is seeking to capitalise on the popularity of “gravel biking” by launching its first machine with bigger wheels and more powerful brakes to handle off-road trails.
The G Line, which goes on sale on October 7, marks the first break by the London-based manufacturer from making bikes with the 16-inch diameter wheels it has used since launching in 1975. More via Financial Times
