Delcam, the Birmingham-based CADCAM developer, set a new one-month record in December 2012 for orders of software licences and maintenance contracts.
Orders were more than 10% over the December 2011 figure, completing a record quarter to end the year.
The rise was in line with the company’s trading update made on December 18, 2012,
The growth came from established markets in the automotive and aerospace industries and also from new markets, such as the dental sector. The company says there were particularly strong performances by its Beijing and Philadelphia offices, its Italian subsidiary and its Korean joint venture.
In addition, the year has seen more improved results from Delcam’s international sales network.
The December figures follow a record first-half sales by Delcam, in the six months to 30 June 2012, and the company has now set new levels of sales for five consecutive half-year periods.
Clive Martell, chief executive of the software firm, said, “December is traditionally the best month of the year for our software business and it is encouraging to see that we continue to set new records. I am delighted that Delcam has ended an already strong year on a new high.”
