153 new trailers were secured with a multi-million pound investment for Carlsberg.

The new trailers are being supplied by the Cartwright Group and are fitted with front and rear air management equipment, which is expected to deliver significant operational efficiencies, as well as several features to improve safety and security of the loads.

Norbert Dentressangle manages all of Carlsberg’s UK primary distribution, from the flow of materials to finished products into and out of the Carlsberg brewery in Northampton.

Mark Callow, Head of Fleet for Norbert Dentressangle Logistics UK Ltd said: “We continue to invest in the latest equipment in order to deliver the best possible service to our customers, as well as reducing fuel consumption and the associated impact of our activities on the environment.”

The company is also responsible for the primary transportation of both small pack products into retailers’ RDCs, kegged product into Carlsberg’s own secondary distribution network and the movement of tanked beer for major events, such as music festivals.
