EEF and Talent Retention Solution enter partnership

EEF, the manufacturers’ organisation, has announced a partnership with the Talent Retention Solution, operated by the Department for Business, Innovation & Skills, to encourage the adoption of the TRS talent platform by member companies.

The partnership was launched at a reception in the House of Commons on Thursday afternoon, hosted by Lord Willis of Knaresborough.

It is now wholly employer-led and provides a nationwide platform of employment opportunities in engineering and manufacturing at all levels from apprentices, graduates, post-graduates and undergraduates, through to experienced engineers.

As well as ensuring that key skills are retained within the sector, the system claims to provide a very practical response to meeting the UK’s future Advanced Manufacturing and Engineering (AME) skills needs.

EEF’s boss Terry Scuoler said: “We are extremely supportive of the excellent work TRS is doing to retain key skills within the manufacturing and engineering sector.

“We look forward to working with our members to help them adopt the TRS platform as a core component of their talent acquisition, development and retention strategies.”

Richard Smith, TRS Director said: “The partnership agreement recognises the importance of the relationship between both organisations and sets out the basis through which we intend to further engage with our respective membership to support our mutual ambitions for skills and economic growth.”
