Entries to UK Export Excellence Awards now open

Following the inaugural awards in 2016, entries to the UK Export Excellence Awards 2017 are now open.

Organised by The Manufacturer and the Global Trade Review, the UK Export Excellence Awards are open to all UK-based exporters of any size.

Judged by an independent panel of experts from the UK’s leading export-focused institutions, the awards recognise export excellence across a range of sectors and regions. Winners are due to be announced at a black-tie awards ceremony on the evening of June 15 in London.

UK Export Excellence Awards 2017 categories:

  • Export Excellence in Africa
  • Export Excellence in the Americas
  • Export Excellence in Asia
  • Export Excellence in MENA
  • Best Use of UK Export Finance
  • Best Supply Chain
  • Innovation in Exporting
  • Best First Time Export
  • Exporter of the Year (specific entries not required – overall winner selected from entries to the nine awards listed above)

Prior to the awards ceremony, the UK Trade & Export Finance Conference 2017 will take place, also in London. This annual event is a crucial forum for the UK’s business, government and financial sectors to meet and discuss ongoing trade priorities.

With discussions centred around the crucial role of trade and exports in growing the UK economy, senior figures from business and government will take to the stage in a series of addresses and debates, with audience participation and networking at the forefront of proceedings.

All entrants to the UK Export Excellence Awards 2017 will receive two complimentary passes to the conference.

The UK Export Awards 2016 witnessed a closely fought contest between exporting companies from across the nation, with the overall Exporter of the Year scooped up by transmission technology manufacturer, Xtrac – which also took home the Export Excellence in Europe Award.

Other winners included MNB Precision Ltd in the Supply Chain Excellence category, andNMS Infrastructure Ltd for Best Use of UK Export Finance.
