Energy Services Partnership has been awarded Independent Energy Consultant of the Year at this year's Energy Buying and Supplying Excellence Awards.
The Awards, which recognise excellence in energy procurement by suppliers, consultants, business customers and also pioneers in environmental management, took place on November 25 at the Langham Hotel in central London.
ESP fought off tough competition, with the winner being decided through a combination of online votes and judging from a panel of industry experts. Commenting on ESP, the judges said that the company “received one of the largest number of votes of any category for the installation of real tools to control energy use and the introduction of demand side load management.”
ESP’s CEO, Derek Dixon, paid tribute to of those who voted, along with his colleagues. “We are deeply grateful to all our Clients, suppliers and partners for their continued support and in helping ESP attain this pre-eminent position within the industry. It is always pleasing to receive recognition, particularly one such as this, as it comes from a combination of our Clients, the UK’s leading energy suppliers and a panel of distinguished industry experts.”
During the last year, ESP has introduced wide ranging load management initiatives, thereby reducing clients’ costs by an average of 8%, and by working alongside National Grid, as a STOR (Short Term Operating Reserve) Aggregator. This bespoke package offered to every client is what caught the attention of the judges at the Energy Excellence Awards.
Shawn Coles, Founder of the Awards, commented: “The inaugural Energy Excellence Awards has been a huge success, and I would like to offer my congratulations to all the winners. The Energy Excellence Awards has allowed the best organisations and individuals working in the energy procurement industry to publicly prove their expertise and gain a competitive edge. We are honouring a part of the market which has previously been unrecognised and, as such, we have seen a tremendous response to the awards from sponsors, attendees and key industry players. We look forward to an even more prestigious event in 2011.”
