Evidence uncovered in EADS probe

France’s stock market regulator claims it has discovered evidence of EADS insider trading as part of the investigation into allegations the aerospace giant sold shares in its A380 aeroplanes despite knowing of the problems surrounding them.

EADS continues to dispute the claims, saying it “will support its managers in their defence” and “intends to demonstrate that it has applied standards of excellence when communicating to the market and has acted with full transparency.”

Meanwhile, the announcement has knocked 26 per cent off the value of the firm.
