Exactaform launches eco-cut: a cost-effective PCD cutting tool range

Exactaform has announced the launch of eco-cut, a new range of affordable polycrystalline diamond (PCD) tools tailored to meet the needs of model board, graphite, plastics, composites, and aluminium machining, whilst ‘cutting costs – not corners’.

The eco-cut product line is a range of PCD cutting tools engineered for businesses requiring tools that balance wear resistance, reliability, and cost-efficiency without the extreme durability demanded for machining highly abrasive metals. By offering tools specifically designed for softer abrasive materials, such as model boards, graphite, and plastics, composites, and aluminium, Exactaform aims to deliver solutions that simplify machining processes and reduce downtime while maintaining consistent performance.

The eco-cut range is ideal for a variety of industries and applications, from prototyping with model board, plastics, and composites to precision machining in window and door manufacturing. It’s also designed to be used for, where aluminium and composites are often used for their strength-to-weight ratio, as well as general industrial modelling that demands versatile and cost-effective tooling solutions.

This announcement follows a highly successful year in 2024 for Coventry-based Exactaform, which celebrated its 45th year of operation marked by significant growth, expansion into new markets, and strategic acquisitions.

Jamie White, MD at Exactaform says, “The Exactaform eco-cut range was developed to address a clear gap in the market. We saw customers having to choose between PCD tools at a premium price or lower-quality options that didn’t meet their needs. eco-cut bridges this gap by offering the durability and precision associated with PCD tools, but at an affordable price.
