The manufacturing sector has faced unprecedented challenges in the last three years, but now an exclusive event is being held to help businesses in the sector look beyond the current crisis and find opportunities for growth in 2023.
The Manufacturing Advisory Directorate, known as MAD Yorkshire, is inviting manufacturers to the special event in Leeds, with a view to cutting through the noise and offering real solutions and advice.
The Routes to Growth for Manufacturers event will be held on Wednesday 30 November (2.30pm) at the premises of specialist manufacturer Sound Leisure Ltd, the only manufacturer in the world producing classic jukeboxes for all major music formats.
Attendees will hear from Rob Woollin, Supply Chain, Manufacturing Champions and AMPI, about the current funding available to support growth as well as what could surface next year.
David Baggaley of the Leeds City Region Enterprise Partnership (LEP) will also join Chris Black of Sound Leisure to deliver a joint talk on how the LEP can and has supported manufacturing growth.
There will then be the chance to ask the above experts questions in a special Q and A session, as well as a panel session on marketing and sales in the manufacturing industry.
The event will last for two hours, but there will be a chance to network post the event, and a guided tour to see how Sound Leisure’s classic-style jukeboxes are built.
Tor Mackenzie, director of Manufacturing Advisory Directorate said: “Manufacturing businesses know more than most how difficult the last three years have been and, with the UK expected to enter a period of recession, companies need help and support to keep focused on growth.
“We have seen unprecedented challenges and those challenges just keep coming, however there is a way forward and this event is about offering clear advice and guidance on opportunities for growth in Yorkshire.
“Many of the old rules have gone out of the window and new thinking is needed. Previously manufacturers were able to develop plans for innovation, forecast effectively and foresee challenges way into the future. Now it’s impossible to look beyond a matter of weeks or maybe months.
“Businesses don’t have to face these challenges alone and we want to show that help is available and that there remains a clear path to growth for manufacturing businesses to follow.”
MAD Yorkshire is a collaboration between Yorkshire’s finest independent consultants, managers and interims, which arose from a shared mission to give manufacturers direct access to the support they need, when they need it.
Headed up by experienced Business Advisor Neil Jaggar, the group has a collective 100 years’ of experience in helping manufacturing businesses solve their most pressing issues.
From business compliance, IT and Energy, to accounting and legal, and right through to sales, marketing, growth operations and strategy, MAD helps manufacturers identify and implement solutions to the challenges they face.
Tickets for their event cost £10 each and must be booked in advance via the Eventbrite link www.eventbrite.co.uk/e/routes-to-growth-for-manufacturers-in-2023-tickets-464304917507
