Almost £800,000 in funding from Santander Corporate & Commercial has enabled B&B Precision Engineering to acquire a building to house a new advanced metal spray line and increase its workforce.
Based in Huddersfield, the company is a leading manufacturer of high-grade machine parts and components supplying a wide range of components to niche product manufacturers including the wire manufacturing industry.
The firm has an extensive range of turning and milling machines, and manual machines for specialist requirements, as well as a number of in-house niche manufacturing capabilities.
The funding will enable B&B Precision to bring metal spraying in-house, a specialist process that was previously outsourced, creating seven new jobs in the process.
The development, which will involve the firm installing the new high technology spray facility in a building alongside its current premises, will see the business significantly expand its capabilities and better cater to strong demand for its products from clients both in the UK and overseas – particularly those in the UK, Europe and US oil and gas industries.
B&B Precision’s managing director, Steven Haigh commented: “I have been very impressed with the approach and service we have received from the team at Santander. From our first meeting, Luke Rowbotham has worked hard to ensure he understood our needs and developed solutions to meet them.”
Luke Rowbotham, relationship director at Santander Corporate & Commercial, added: “B&B Precision is a great local success story and we are delighted to provide funding as they look to broaden and expand.
“The business is actively looking to increase international trade as well as create new jobs in the local area which is a great testament to the management team.”
