UKTI is holding three events in Yorkshire to introduce Government’s recently announced new range of export credit facilities.

The Export Credits Guarantee Department (ECGD) recently announced a range of initiatives, mostly geared towards SMEs, to help towards credit and insurance barriers to sending goods overseas.
They include an Export Enterprise Finance Guarantee Scheme to offer SMEs credit guarantees of up to £1m, an extension of short term credit insurance to cover more companies, and a Foreign Exchange Credit Support Scheme to help manage exposure to foreign exchange rate movements
The new products will be explained at the World Trade Centre in Hull on 23 March from 4-6pm, the Radisson Blu hotel at The Light in central Leeds on 24 March from 9-11am and the Advanced Manufacturing Park in Rotherham on 24 March from 12.30-2.30pm.
Each two-hour session will include a 40 minute presentation on how ECGD can help exporters, a 10 minute presentation from the Department for Business (BIS) on a new Export Finance Guarantee, an open Q&A session and a networking opportunity with ECDG and UKTI advisers.
Mark Robson, UKTI’s International Trade Director for Yorkshire and the Humber, commented: “ECGD is striving to do a lot more to advise and support SMEs in recognition they are the lifeblood of the regional economy, and very much the future in terms of securing lucrative international contracts and linked inward investment.
“There is a real appetite to find out more about the new products announced in the Trade and Investment for Growth white paper, and the aim of this roadshow is to cover that in detail as well as to give businesses a general overview of the Government’s total export support offer.”
