The first four days of the 2026 Farnborough International Airshow generated £62.9bn ($84.7bn) in announced aircraft and engine deals, with the orderbook expected to contribute more than £10.8bn to the UK economy, according to ADS.

The UK trade association said 353 firm aircraft orders and 904 firm engine orders were announced during the show, underlining continued global demand for commercial aerospace and reinforcing the UK’s position as a leading hub for the sector. Aircraft orders included agreements involving Airbus, Boeing and Embraer, while engine orders covered major manufacturers including CFM International’s LEAP engines, Pratt & Whitney and GE Aerospace.

ADS said the scale of the commercial activity demonstrated the importance of Farnborough International Airshow as a platform for securing international business, attracting investment and strengthening supply chains across the aerospace industry.

Kevin Craven, CEO of ADS and chair of Farnborough International, described the event as another successful showcase for the UK aerospace sector.

“It has been another hugely successful week at Farnborough International Airshow. With record visitor and exhibitor numbers, high-level ministerial delegations from around the world, and a strong commercial orderbook, Farnborough has once again demonstrated its unrivalled ability to bring industry, government and international partners together to do business,” he said.

“As the industry builds on the engagement and partnerships developed over the past four days, ADS will continue to champion our sectors, helping businesses connect with customers, access new markets and seize opportunities for growth.”

The figures cap a strong week for the biennial event, which brought together aerospace manufacturers, suppliers, government representatives and international delegations to announce new commercial agreements and discuss the future of aviation.

With more than £10.8bn in projected economic value flowing into the UK from the announced orderbook, the deals are expected to support aerospace manufacturing, engineering and supply chain activity across the country over the coming years.
