Birmingham espresso coffee machine manufacturer, Fracino is toasting its most successful year end to date – posting a £5.5m turnover as sales at home and abroad continue to rocket.
A 60-strong, third generation family business, Fracino exports more than 30% of the 5,000 plus machines it produces annually to 70 countries worldwide – securing new commissions from Honduras; Saudi Arabia; Canada, and Turkey in recent months.

Acknowledged as a leading champion of British craftsmanship, exporter and innovator, Fracino is the first UK manufacturer commissioned by fast food sandwich franchise, SUBWAY purchasing group (EIPC) to produce a bespoke machine – which is now installed in hundreds of SUBWAY outlets in the UK and Poland.
Praised by Siemens senior representatives as ‘a company that has put innovation at the heart of its business’, the SUB1 machine has scooped two awards – a silver accolade in the Smart Product category of the manufacturer’s association, EEF, Future Manufacturing Awards, and ‘Made in the Midlands’ Advanced Manufacturing Innovation Award.
Launching four new machines across the space of four months in 2016, an ongoing multi-million pound investment programme includes plans for an ultra-modern reception area at the 45,000 sqft facility where around 90% of components are manufactured in-house.
Growing the team by 25% across the past year, recent appointments include head of sales and marketing Peter Atmore – a former Fracino distributor who boasts a powerful industry track record.
