Frocester Engineering celebrates 10 years of manufacturing

Frocester Engineering has reached a milestone birthday. The Rooksbridge-based engineering company celebrated a decade in business this month.

To mark the occasion the company invited past and present staff, key customers and suppliers to a celebration lunch.

Frocester is one of the UK’s largest manufacturers of metal products and makes specialist training equipment as well as metal products such as car seats, sports event seating and lab equipment.

It began when MD, Anthony Locke, bought the assets of an engineering company in Weston-Super-Mare and relocated it to the current location on Mendip Business Park, Rooksbridge, Somerset.

The company has grown from small beginnings ten years ago of just one member of staff and two customers to currently employing eleven people and servicing over 60 regular customers.

Mr Locke said: ‘The last three years have been challenging but thanks to the hard work and commitment of our staff, we have continued to grow the business. We are in a great place and are looking forward to another successful ten years.’

Local MP Tessa Munt congratulated the company of reaching such an important milestone. She said: ‘It’s great to see a local manufacturing company doing so well and weathering the storm of the recent economic climate. I congratulate Anthony and his team and wish them all the best for the future.’

The birthday was also celebrated with a revamp of Frocester’s website.
