FUCHS UK adds to its portfolio with CNC Fluids acquisition

FUCHS Lubricants UK has acquired metalworking fluid specialist CNC Fluids, based in Keynsham, near Bristol.

Established in 1995 CNC Fluids is an integral supplier of metalworking and cold forming products to a wide spectrum of UK manufacturing companies.

FUCHS says the deal, which had effect from November 1, 2012, will develop this position in the market and build on the high levels of service and quality currently enjoyed by CNC customers. The CNC Fluids product range and the company’s customers have transferred over to FUCHS UK.

Richard Halhead, FUCHS UK’s managing director, commented: “This strategic acquisition strengthens our commitment to the UK and further diversifies our product and customer base.”

Stoke-On-Trent-based Fuchs Lubricants is the UK subsidiary of German Fuchs Petrolub AG, the world’s largest independent lubricant company.

FUCHS is the world’s largest independent manufacturer of lubricants and related specialities, with a turnover in excess of €1.7 billion and 34 production plants throughout the world. The UK subsidiary has a manufacturing and distribution operation based in Stoke-on-Trent employing over 250 staff.

With a turnover in excess of £100m, Fuchs UK is specialist manufacturer of lubricants, serving the mining industry, industrial manufacturing and commercial automotive markets.
