GlaxoSmithKline chief executive of eight years Jean-Pierre Garnier has officially handed over the reins to his successor Andrew Witty.

In a final meeting with investors, Garnier praised the strong products the firm has under development and the soaring sales of its Advair asthma drug – “We are going to break £4 billion ($7.9 billion) of sales this year with Advair,” he said.
