Hitachi Rail is dedicated to fostering the next generation of talent through its Early Careers Program. Each year, the company offers more than 80 and growing paid co-op and internship opportunities to students across the Greater Toronto Area, Ontario, and Vancouver/Burnaby, British Columbia. This program not only provides valuable hands-on experience but also serves as a strong talent pipeline, with approximately 40% of participants transitioning into full-time roles.
Hitachi Rail’s Canadian story began over 50 years ago with its first location in Toronto in the 1970s. Since then, has expanded across the country, creating jobs and advancing rail technology to support Canada’s transportation vision. With the opening of a new office in Montreal, Hitachi Rail is strengthening its presence in Canada by growing operations and accelerating the deployment of its SelTrac™ signalling technology nationwide. From its early beginnings to future ambitions, Hitachi Rail continues to invest in Canadian talent and innovation.
“Being recognized as a Top Employer for Young People in Canada reflects our commitment to empowering the next generation and creating an environment where people feel valued, supported and inspired.
