Honda, the Japanese car maker, has announced plans to invest £80 million in developing production operations at its Wiltshire, UK site.

The company’s investment plans include new production facilities to enable to plant to manufacture metal and plastic automotive parts, and extra funding for the factory’s existing bumper, paint and welding processes.

The new facilities will allow the company to produce engines on-site rather than sourcing them from Japan.
