Toymaker Hornby has reported a 17 per cent increase in annual profit thanks to a 19 per cent rise in sales.
The company reached sales of £55.7 million in the year to the 31 March, despite the rocky economy, with the relaunch of its newly acquired Corgi brand already progressing successfully.
“Corgi retailers and collectors are delighted that Hornby has taken over. We are confident that we will quickly rebuild sales, profits and market share,” said chief executive Frank Martin.
