Increased demand sees UK chocolate maker open new factory

UK chocolate manufacturer Moo Free has opened a second, larger factory in Devon including a New Product Development space to develop new chocolates for the ‘free from’ and vegan markets.

Moo Free Chocolates has been manufacturing premium ‘milk’ chocolate alternatives since 2010.

Positioned just opposite the current site, the new factory’s production space is over 130m, which will allow Moo Free to dramatically increase the number of bars it produces daily.

Sales and marketing director Mike Jessop said: “Thanks to the loyalty of our customers and our exceptional staff, Moo Free has grown quicker than we could’ve imagined. We’ve been manufacturing in Devon for just three years and we’re already having to open a second factory!”.

Andrea Jessop, Moo Free’s managing director, added: “Plus, I get my very own new product development room to play in and develop new and exciting chocolates!”

The increased production and warehousing space will allow Moo Free Chocolates to produce its popular bars and ship them more quickly to its customers in over thirty countries all around the world.

The addition of a dedication new product development room will also allow Moo Free to innovate to develop new and exciting chocolates for the vegan and ‘free from’ markets.

Moo Free Chocolates has been manufacturing premium ‘milk’ chocolate alternatives since 2010. During this short time, the company has grown rapidly due to year-on-year increases in demand for its vegan and organic chocolates which are also free from milk, lactose, wheat, gluten and soya.
