As people across the UK continue to feel the cost-of-living squeeze, innocent drinks and food redistribution charity Felix have extended their partnership to ensure people still have some fruit and vegetables in their diets.

Felix has been helping to redistribute innocent’s surplus juices and smoothies through its network for years. Now, innocent is extending that support to help Felix rescue and redistribute 175,000 portions of fruit and veg to people across the UK in 2026. The additional funding comes as many families are finding it harder and harder to get fresh, nutritious food on the table.

Louisa Handley, Head of healthy sustainable diets at innocent, said: “Our partnership with Felix is about helping more people enjoy the goodness of fruit and veg at a time when people aren’t getting enough. Less than one in five adults and one in ten 11-to-18-year-olds get their 5 A Day. By helping to deliver 175,000 portions of fruit and veg to people across the UK, we can make a practical difference and bring the power of fruit and veg to more people.”

The partnership has also given the innocent team a chance to get stuck in. At a recent volunteering day, employees swapped their desks for an orchard and joined Felix and other volunteers to rescue apples that would otherwise have been left unpicked. By the end of the day, they’d saved 2.7 tonnes of apples from going to waste, ready to be transported for redistribution the following day.

Emma Burns, Senior Corporate Partnerships Manager at Felix, said: “It was great to have innocent at the orchard with us and rescuing 2.7 tonnes of apples is a brilliant start to this year’s farm rescue programme. As demand for our services continues to grow, support from partners like innocent is more important than ever. Through donating surplus stock, volunteering and funding 175,000 portions of fruit and veg, innocent is helping us rescue more good food and get it to charities and community organisations across the UK. We’re incredibly grateful for their commitment to this work.”

Through the partnership innocent and Felix hope to make sure more good fruit and veg ends up where it belongs, on plates.
