Innovation Alley will be sponsored by Innovate UK, and located at the intersection of Smart Factory Expo’s four zones.

Innovation Alley is a densely-packed networking space, where entrepreneurs pitch their innovations direct to Smart Factory Expo attendees from ‘micro booths’ – a concentrated dose of ideas, energy and opportunity.

Ideas, energy and opportunity combine in Innovation Alley – where 48 of the UK’s hottest manufacturing tech start-ups are lifting the lid on the future of British manufacturing at Smart Factory Expo.

This new event will be sponsored by Innovate UK, and located at the intersection of Smart Factory Expo’s four zones – Industrial Automation, Digital Transformation, Industrial Internet, Smart Factory.

Simon Edmonds, Manufacturing and Materials Director at Innovate UK said: “Innovate UK’s sponsorship of this year’s Innovation Alley is a very exciting partnership between our organisation and The Manufacturer.

“It will provide a showcase for some of the most innovative manufacturing entrepreneurs and SMEs, several of whom we have helped, who are seeing the commercial potential in new technologies and turning them into new products and services.”

Innovation Alley is a platform for the country’s most promising manufacturing-focused start-ups to pitch their ideas and build partnerships with digitally-minded manufacturers.

Edmonds added: “The Innovation Alley will highlight the strength of UK innovation in manufacturing. It will also be a great platform for Innovate UK to highlight the support we can provide to companies and reach out to new businesses who may not have heard of us or realised the opportunities available.”

Come along to hear Simon speak on Day 2 (16 November) at 9.15 am on the main stage of the Leaders Conference when he sets out the funding opportunities available to businesses from the Industrial Strategy Challenge Fund and other Innovate UK funding competitions.
