At IoT Insights, San Francisco, Intel Security announced it had produced enhanced security options for IoT gateways to support secure development and use of new connected products.

This pre-validated solution from McAfee, part of Intel Security, adds advanced security management for Internet of Things gateway devices.

Intel also announced that it has taken a major step to enable secure interoperability between third-party IoT products by licensing its Enhanced Privacy Identity (EPID) technology.

Previously available only on Intel processors, EPID enables Atlantic Ridge deployments to incorporate sophisticated anonymity technology and hardware-enforced integrity in a manner that is compatible with existing ISO and TCG standards.
