Automotive manufacturer, Jaguar Land Rover has come top of Bloomberg’s inaugural survey of thousands of employees.
The company – which has 25,000 employees in the UK, almost its entire global workforce – was ranked number one among 400 businesses surveyed that employ more than 500 people in Britain.
Respondents came from 24 industries as varied as automotive; media; oil & gas; construction; retail; and food & drink, with companies in each sector ranked against each other.
The top three companies in the list – Jaguar Land Rover, AstraZeneca and Harrods – are all headquartered in the UK
Executive director of human resources and global purchasing at Jaguar Land Rover, Ian Harnett commented: “Over the past five years, we have created more than 20,000 new jobs and are investing significantly in the future of Jaguar Land Rover by recruiting and developing the people that will help ensure our continued success.”
Analyst at Statista and co-author of the report, Charlotte Edney noted: “Reputation and the atmosphere within a company is very important for employee satisfaction.
“Colleagues working together, [doing] interesting work, being given the opportunity for training, all plays a part in that atmosphere and development driver.
“Jaguar Land Rover had a very high direct and in-direct score which means the internal and external perceptions of the company are very good.”
