JCB reveal new machines at Las Vegas Conexpo

Staffordshire manufacturers JCB, unveiled its newest equipment at one of the biggest construction industry trade fairs in Las Vegas on 6 March.

The firm showcased cased several new machines including JCB midi excavators, the 85Z-1, 86C-1 and 67C-1, all manufactured at JCB’s Compact Products factory in Cheadle, Staffordshire.

JCB’s stunt team, the Dancing Diggers, accompanied by a string quartet, performed routines every hour, helping to draw in thousands of onlookers to the firm’s exhibition stand.

Chief innovation and growth officer at JCB, Tim Burnhope, said: “At JCB we’re very proud of our fast-growing reputation for being the most fuel efficient manufacturer in the industry.

“Compared to the models we manufactured back in 2010, the JCB 3CX backhoe consumes an incredible 34% less fuel, the JCB 175 skid steer loader uses 30% less fuel and the JS200 excavator consumes an amazing 33% less fuel.

“These are impressive achievements and our obsession with fuel saving is reducing the cost of running JCB machines. By early next year JCB will have saved its customers a staggering 1 billion litres of fuel since 2010, something we are really proud of.”

JCB faces stiff competition from American manufacturers but continues to value the US market.
