The Londonderry shirt making site of Graham Hunter is to shed 30 of its staff in an attempt to retain productivity as overseas competition increases.

The move will reduce the workforce at the Springtown factory by a third.

“Unfortunately we’ve just had to reduce the size due to our inability to get enough business at the kind of prices that are required for Irish production these days,” said sales director Simon Hunter.
