Kerry Dairy Ireland has unveiled a new corporate identity under the name Kinisla and announced a €300m investment programme aimed at accelerating innovation, expanding operations and strengthening its position in the growing dairy snacking market.

The €1.4bn dairy business, which owns brands including Cheestrings, Attack A Snak and SMUG Dairy, said the rebrand marks the next stage in its evolution following Kerry Co-Operative Creameries’ acquisition of a 70% stake in the company in 2025.

The business said the new name combines references to “kinship” and “island identity”, reflecting its farming heritage and Irish roots while signalling ambitions for long-term growth and international expansion.

As part of its long-term strategy, the company is launching a five-year investment plan spanning its Consumer Foods and Nutritional Ingredients divisions. The funding will support manufacturing innovation, operational scaling and sustainability projects focused on reducing Scope 1 and Scope 2 emissions.

More than 100 new jobs are expected to be created across innovation, commercial operations and central business functions over the next 12 to 24 months.

Chris Roberts, Managing Director of Consumer Foods at Kinisla, said: “Today is a hugely exciting day for us, one that marks an important milestone for the business as we reveal our new corporate identity that reflects our heritage and our bold ambitions for the future.”

He added that the investment would “turbocharge” the company’s innovation pipeline, strengthen its supply chain and support ambitions to “reimagine dairy and inspire what’s next for the category”.

The investment will also support the expansion of the company’s Evolve RegenDairy programme, which aims to encourage regenerative agriculture practices across dairy farming operations.

The company is targeting further growth in dairy snacking, citing strong performance from its Strings & Things portfolio, which includes Cheestrings, Yollies and the recently launched MunchMix range.

According to the business, the portfolio generated a record £130m in retail sales over the past year, supported by growing consumer demand for healthier, protein-rich snack products.
