West Yorkshire based manufacturer Rixonway Kitchens is celebrating the production of its five millionth unit.
Although the company is 30 years old, 70 per cent of its total output has occurred over the last ten years. Today, following an intensive period of capital investment, the company produces 12,000 rigid kitchen units from its 177,000 square foot factory in Dewsbury, West Yorkshire.
The company says it now has an on-time in-full (OTIF) delivery record of 98%, of which it is “very proud”.
Rixonway Kitchens’ sales and marketing director David Anderson says: “Since 2002 Rixonway has invested heavily in its IT services, including the creation of the X-net management system, a secure on-line portal for both clients and contractors to access a range of business information, which has contributed to the significant production milestone.”
This system, allows clients and contractors to get quotes and order online and then track production and delivery progress. The company says this has greatly reduced time and administration costs.
On the environmental front, Rixonway has committed to sending no waste from its factory to landfill.
The buyer of the five millionth Rixionway Kitchen will win a 22 inch LCD TV .
