Company: Made In Britain

A specialist manufacturer of bespoke timber windows and doors has joined Made in Britain, underlining the continued importance of domestic production and provenance in the UK’s heritage construction market.

Landmark Windows Co Ltd, a family-run business with more than 35 years of experience, designs and manufactures sash and casement windows as well as hardwood doors from its London workshop. The company serves both trade and residential projects, with a particular focus on period and conservation properties across the capital and South East.

The move comes against a backdrop of sustained demand for heritage joinery. According to Historic England, around 21% of homes in England were built before 1919, while a third of non-residential buildings are more than a century old, creating a long-term pipeline for specialist refurbishment and conservation work.

For Landmark Windows, joining Made in Britain formalises an approach it has long embedded in its operations: combining traditional craftsmanship with modern production techniques while maintaining full control over quality and compliance.

Tom Hunt, Head of Operations at Landmark Windows, said the decision was a natural progression for the business.

“For us, joining Made in Britain felt like a natural step. We’ve always been committed to manufacturing our timber windows and doors here in the UK, so it was about formalising that commitment.”

He added that the accreditation carries both recognition and responsibility. “The membership represents both recognition and responsibility. It reinforces our commitment to maintaining the highest standards in British manufacturing and positions us among a community of respected UK producers.”

As specification requirements tighten and clients place greater emphasis on traceability, the Made in Britain mark is increasingly being used as a differentiator—particularly in sectors where authenticity and origin are critical.

Charlie Casey, Business Development Manager at Landmark Windows, highlighted its role in building trust with customers.

“The Made in Britain mark gives an added layer of trust, especially when we’re speaking to new clients or exploring opportunities further afield. It helps reinforce the fact that everything we produce is genuinely made here in the UK.

“It provides a clear and immediate signal of quality and origin to our clients. We’re proud to be British.”

The company is continuing to invest in its workshop capabilities and sustainable timber solutions, as it looks to expand its footprint across the UK while maintaining a focus on high-specification, heritage-led projects.

For John Pearce, CEO of Made in Britain, the growing emphasis on origin reflects wider shifts in global and domestic markets. “In competitive international markets, clarity around origin and quality matters more than ever,” he said. “The Made in Britain trademark helps manufacturers to stand out, ensuring that buyers have trust and confidence in the standards and integrity behind British-made products.”
