Software vendor Lanner has joined the University of Sheffield Advanced Manufacturing Research Centre with Boeing
As an Advanced Manufacturing Research Centre partner Lanner will provide its Witness predictive simulation platform for use within the AMRC’s R&D activities, increasing awareness and user confidence regarding the technology among the AMRC’s member community.
With around 70 members, the AMRC with Boeing works with manufacturing businesses
of all sizes, ranging from global aerospace giants to local SMEs, helping them to incubate and develop new technologies through to commercial reality.
“We are delighted to welcome Lanner to the AMRC with Boeing,” said Rab Scott, head of simulation and visualisation at the AMRC.
“Modelling and simulation are an increasingly important part of 21st century manufacturing, and Lanner’s expertise and software allow us to develop simulation models of new processes and facilities, quickly demonstrating their impact on productivity. This lets us demonstrate to our manufacturing partners the potential cost savings that can be achieved through the use of Lanner’s software.”
