LOCTITE will use InstallerSHOW 2026 to showcase its latest thread sealing solutions, including a newly reformulated PFAS-free version of its popular LOCTITE 55 sealing cord.
The adhesive and sealant specialist will exhibit at the event, taking place from 23-25 June at the NEC Birmingham, where visitors will be able to see live demonstrations of LOCTITE 55 and LOCTITE 577, speak with technical experts and receive advice on selecting the most appropriate sealing solutions for a range of installation applications.
A major focus of LOCTITE’s presence this year will be LOCTITE 55, which is designed for sealing metal and plastic pipes and fittings across gas, water, LPG and compressed air systems. The product provides an instant seal with no curing time required and is intended to offer a fast and efficient alternative to traditional sealing methods.
Henkel, the manufacturer behind the LOCTITE brand, said the product is now formulated without per- and polyfluoroalkyl substances (PFAS), a group of chemicals that have come under increasing regulatory and environmental scrutiny in recent years.
As industry attention grows around PFAS use and potential future restrictions, demand is increasing for alternative materials that can deliver performance without relying on these substances. Henkel believes the reformulated LOCTITE 55 will help installers meet evolving project requirements while supporting more sustainable product choices.
Alongside LOCTITE 55, the company will also demonstrate LOCTITE 577, a liquid thread sealant designed for metal threaded connections. The product is suited to short engagement lengths and can be used on both parallel-to-parallel and taper-to-parallel metal threads.
According to Henkel, LOCTITE 577 locks and seals fittings in any position, can be used on oil line fittings and radiator connections, and remains removable using standard hand tools when maintenance is required.

Visitors will be able to see the products in action throughout the three-day exhibition at Stand 3F4. Henkel said the demonstrations will focus on practical installation scenarios and the benefits of modern thread sealing technologies for plumbing and related applications.
