A Walsall specialist castings firm is toasting a double celebration after enjoying record turnover in its 30th year in business.
Established in 1984, Majorfax in Walsall supplies castings in a range of materials to customers locally and internationally, and is a global sourcing company.
The company has marked its anniversary with a record turnover of £8m as it prepares to continue its expansion into 2015.
Providing castings for a range of industries, mainly machinery and construction, the company’s Charles Street base is a Black Country landmark, with a Victorian Majorfax chimney overlooking Walsall Canal Junction and visible for miles around.
Managing director Steve Cooper said: “At Majorfax we pride ourselves on our customer care which ensures the majority of customers who do business with us, stay with us.
“Over the last three decades we have built an enviable reputation based on customer services, quality and value for money.
“Our experience and knowledge saves customers time and money as well as meaning they can make their own commitments with confidence.
“This stood us in good stead during the recession but as the economy has picked up over the last few years, it’s given our customers increased confidence and we’ve benefited as a result.
“Of course, we’re also actively targeting new clients and new markets, which has also played a significant part in our record results.”
The Charles Street company has ambitious plans to increase the size of its warehouse facilities and enhance its distribution network across the UK and Europe.
Steve continued: “Expanding our warehouse facilities will be key to our growth over the next few years as it will increase our capacity to bulk supply to the bespoke requirements of our customers.
“Saving our clients time and expense and reacting to their needs is what we’re all about.
“2015 promises to be an exciting year for Majorfax as we seek to continue our progress and expand into even more markets nationally and internationally.”
