A West Midlands manufacturing group is heading to Subcon with the message that strength in numbers can offer manufacturers cost savings, added value and security of supply.
The Midlands Assembly Network (MAN), a collective of ten sub-contract manufacturers, has enjoyed consistent growth in recent years after offering a single-source solution to customers across a range of industries at home and abroad.
And now the group, which offers technical excellence in mechanical, electrical and engineering processes, has vowed to offer visitors to the Subcon event taking place at the Birmingham NEC next month something different.
Tony Hague, the group’s chairman, said MAN offers the best of both worlds with one central point of contact to ten diverse manufacturing firms.
“We offer the best of both worlds for the customer. One central point of contact to ten firms, state-of-the-art factories and a combined 650-strong highly skilled workforce with expertise spanning from aluminium castings and precision pressings to PCB manufacture, chemical etching and cable harnesses,” he said.
Mr Hague added MAN bringing Grove Design into the group at the beginning of 2013 gave it access to one of the UK’s best design houses to commence work on prototypes and full production drawings.
“This means we can work with clients from the earliest possible germ of an idea and this is creating a lot of interest,” he said.
“At the current moment, we are working with four exciting projects that will deliver major new products to the marketplace…a couple of which we are hoping to showcase for the first time at Subcon.”
