Our next meet up is on Trade with China on Tuesday 20 April 2021 with special guest Barry Leahey, MBE, CEO Playdale. Learn about how to trade with China and ask questions that you might have on this topic. With Brexit a reality and China being the world’s second largest economy it makes sense to understand if opportunities exist for your business to do trade their. Learn from someone with experience of doing just that and find out the types of considerations your business will need before your consider making your first steps. We welcome all those who want to learn or who can add their own experiences of trading with China.

Our last meet up on 6 April 2021 explored the topic of education and skills. Our Community discussed some of the key issues that have led to the skills gap in manufacturing including the outdated perception of manufacturing jobs; the failure of local education providers to adequately deliver the right courses which business need and the urgent need for better careers advice services in schools. It was a lively discussion and we hope to foster further debate after events on our Community.
