The Manufacturer Smart Factory Expo: the best bits

Posted on 11 Nov 2016 by Victoria Fitzgerald

From November 2-3, thousands of visitors pounded the floor of The NEC at the inaugural The Manufacturer Smart Factory Expo. If you missed out on the action catch up via podcast interviews with Schneider Electric, Rockwell Automation and Siemens.

The Manufacturer Smart Factory Expo is the nation’s only Industry 4.0 exhibition for business leaders in UK manufacturing – showcasing the best solution providers and technology offerings for manufacturers to adopt the relevant tools and knowledge to drive business growth.

No one can deny that the manufacturing industry is changing and transforming rapidly. If companies don’t adapt and embrace developing and new technologies now, then they run the risk of losing ground to the rest of the world.

“After two days of Smart Factory Expo at the NEC, we conclude: Industry 4.0 is one of the hot topics in manufacturing. Great to see that companies are starting to embrace digitalisation as the future of manufacturing. Thank you Hennik Group for a successful event!”

The message that came out of The Manufacturer Smart Factory Expo is the definite need for an event that focuses on the enablers of industry 4.0. With so much rhetoric about the need to invest in technology, events such as this connect service providers with the companies who need them to make sure the UK manufacturing sector stays at the forefront of European and global industry.

After such a successful first Expo, it has been confirmed that the show will be back next year and promises to build on the success of this year.
