EEF, the UK’s leading manufacturers’ trade organisation, is hosting a free Skills Summit in the North East next month.

Billed as a day of political debate, practical discussion and best practice knowledge sharing, speakers including Skills and Education Minister John Hayes, MD of Siemens UK Industry Sector Juergen Maier and MD of ContiTech Beattie, Andrew Esson will address how the skills needs of industry will be met.

As well as keynotes the event will feature a choice of three skills development workshops, led by regional manufacturers, and a Question Time style panel debate with audience interaction.

The summit also offers the opportunity to network with some of the North East’s leading manufacturers.

The event takes place at St. James’ Park football stadium in Newcastle on May 12, running from 9am – 3:30pm.
