Cambridge based Marshall Aerospace has opened its own AeroAcademy and is offering aviation manufacturing degrees starting this month.
The new centre – based at the former home of company founder and aviation pioneer Sir Arthur Marshall – still has around 20 places left to fill, having had a similar number registered to date.
The two-year foundation degrees cover aircraft maintenance, repair and overhaul.
Dave Hudson, head of AeroAcademy, said: “This is an extremely exciting project, and we are very pleased with the response we have had.
“We have had a lot of interest already, and we want to work with local people to fill the rest of the places.”
