MASS has announced that it has signed a Memorandum of Understanding with BAE Systems to coordinate business development activities related to Electronic Warfare technology to enable effective capabilities for export customers.
Through MASS’s strength in Electronic Warfare (EW) operational support, and BAE Systems’ platforms such as Typhoon and Tornado, the partnership will offer customers a suite of EW capabilities including: EW training, operational analysis, EW data management, countermeasure development, mission data validation and mission evaluation.
Speaking after the MOU signing, Ashley Lane, Managing Director of MASS, said: “It is great to be working with BAE Systems on their technology transfer programmes in support of export platform sales. This supports our aim to assist other nations build an indigenous capability in the operational support and use of modern EW systems.
Andy Lavin, Saudi Arabia Programmes Director in BAE Systems’ Military Air & Information business, said: “I am pleased that we have been able to sign this MOU. MASS’s reputation as the leading provider to the UK’s Air Warfare Centre and BAE Systems’ reputation in advanced weapon system support will deliver operational capability benefit to Saudi Arabia and our other export customers.”
