Yamazaki Mazak is hosting an EMO Encore Open House at its European Technology Centre in Worcester for UK machine tool users who did not make it to the Hannover event.

The Open House will be staged from the 19th to the 22nd November 2013 and will display 20 machines, many of which are new technologies first exhibited at EMO.

Additionally, it will feature 15 minute Mazatrol training sessions; factory tours of one of Europe’s most advanced manufacturing facilities and a competition each day.

The Open House will see the display of the INTEGREX e-1250V/8II, a new machine which has been designed with a large machining envelope to make very large diameter complex parts, such as those typically found in the aerospace or power generation sectors.

The machine is the latest addition to the INTEGREX e-V series offering the high levels of performance and accuracy, having been built with a highly rigid structure which includes newly designed main castings to improve accuracy and performance.

The event will also display Mazak’s latest laser technology, the OPTIPLEX 3015 Fiber II, a machine eliminating the laser gas used in conventional laser processing machines along with the gas for purging optical components.

Richard Smith, managing director – sales at Yamazaki Mazak said: “This Open House is an outstanding opportunity for machine tool users, who were unable to make it to EMO, to see the latest Mazak technology in action; talk to our application engineers and tour the factory to see our machines being made.”

Visitors to the Open House can also use the new Mazak iPad App, which is free-of-charge and gives details of all the machines exhibited at EMO in an easy-to-use reader-friendly manner.

The App is organised in a similar fashion to the EMO stand with a variety of zones, including turning, multi-tasking and horizontal machining centres.
