McColgan’s Quality Foods creates 43 jobs

Strabane-based food manufacturer, McColgan's Quality Foods is set to create 43 jobs in County Tyrone after a £7.3m investment.

The firm, which produces sweet and savoury pastries, has received funding from the Department of Trade, Enterprise and Industry.

The investment will also be used to invest in new equipment.

Managing director Grainne Hampton commented: “Our position as one of the leading savoury and sweet pastry manufacturers in the UK and Ireland will be strengthened by this.

“The installation of cutting edge technology and production processes such as fully automated cook, cool and chill production lines will increase our capabilities as well as our capacity.”
